About

Empowering Clients To Overcome Adversities

I am married to my wonderful spouse of more than 30 years, Joe Sizemore, who is my partner for life. Together, we have one daughter, Savannah Bevis, and a son-in-law, Stephen Bevis, and I am now proud to be Gigi to our first grandchild—a beautiful little boy named Shepherd—who has already brought incredible joy to our family. My family has been a vital part of my career throughout the past three decades and remains the strongest support system I could ever hope for. I have more than 30 years of experience in healthcare as a nurse. My career began at the age of eighteen as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), followed by Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) training at the Washington-Holmes Area Vocational Technical Center (WHAVTC) in Chipley, Florida, where I was accepted as the youngest student in my class. I spent 15 years working as an LPN in hospitals, medical offices, nursing homes, and home health care, gaining a broad understanding of patient needs across a wide range of environments. When Savannah was older, I returned to school to pursue my associate’s degree in nursing at Chipola State College in Marianna, Florida, later completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Chipola State College as well. The years that followed included significant personal and professional challenges, including recovering from the loss of our home due to Hurricane Michael and supporting my family through my father’s progressive dementia and cancer diagnosis. These experiences strengthened my resilience, sharpened my perspective, and reinforced the values of integrity, perseverance, and compassion—principles that guide how I practice and lead. In 2020, I graduated from Regis College in Boston as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My focus is providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health care for individuals of all ages. I have a special interest in serving children, adolescents, and older adults—populations that historically experience barriers to timely and comprehensive mental health support. My father’s care journey influenced my commitment to listen actively, advocate strongly, and ensure families feel supported and respected throughout the treatment process. Today, I am dedicated to offering innovative, evidence-based approaches grounded in trust, respect, and long-term partnership with patients and caregivers. I believe everyone deserves the chance to live their best life for as long as they can, and I am dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families to help make that a reality.
